Additional Information

Owners’ remarks:

The Manta has a low center of gravity and low overhead height for great sea handling and easy bridge clearance.

The large Volvo Penta D-4 225 hp engines are more than ample to cruise at eight knots burning a total of 2.5 gallons per hour (gph) or she can get up and run 20 knots burning 20 gph. The yacht has great sea keeping qualities and has additional lift strakes for getting up on plane. Her draft is less than three feet.

Her Nobeltec electronics are easily run from both the laptop computer at her interior navigation table or the external helm station in the cockpit. There are solar panels on the hardtop allowing the batteries to stay charged while on the hook. In addition to a full sized refrigerator freezer there is a second freezer in the salon and an ice maker in the cockpit.

Fuel Burn

Economy= 8/10 knots/hr and burns 2.5 gal fuel total

Mid range Cruise at 16 knots = about 10 gal per hour (the boat will plane at 12knots)

She has a wide open throttle at 22/24 knots burn about 20 gal/hr
