Interior Accommodations

The interior is fashioned with stained American cherry to a coherent contemporary American design theme featuring moderately radiused corners, flush cabinet doors, paneled cabin doors, beige overhead, and floor coverings of beige carpet and teak and holy (in high wear areas).  Ample recessed overhead spot lights, reading lights, and rope accent lights are well located throughout.  Lutron dimmer switches control overhead spot light arrays in each space.  Hella “Turbo” cabin fans are found at each bunk.  A central air conditioning chiller system has controls in each accommodation space.  All large lockers are fitted with automatic lights.  An intercom system allows communication between the staterooms and pilothouse.  Phone and cable connections are run to each stateroom, the pilothouse, and salon.

NINOSKA’s spacious salon features an L-shaped settee to port and a sofa to starboard, all upholstered in white leather. The couch is a convertible bed, providing extra arrangements for two in a pinch. There is a beautiful L-shaped table that fits along the settee to port. At the forward end of the salon, a cabinet provides storage for entertainment system items like the stereo and satellite TV receiver. A bookshelf is located alongside. To starboard and forward is a counter which houses flat screen television in lifting cabinet.

The galley is at the forward, port end of the salon. A U-shaped counter is topped with Corian and teak fiddles. The sole is varnished teak and holly. At the aft, inboard end of the galley is a tall pantry locker with larger locker with shelves for pots and pans below. Just inboard, there is a trash compactor beneath the counter, four drawers and a dishwasher. Above this counter, there are two overhead lockers, one with clear doors for wine glasses. A deep two-bin stainless steel sink is located outboard,  with single lever faucet and garbage disposal. There is a large locker beneath the sink. Forward, there is a Jenn Air stove and oven with GE microwave above. There are lockers above and outboard of the microwave. Inboard of the oven is another small counter space with lockers beneath. The full size fridge/freezer is located just inboard.

The day head is accessed via the cockpit, and provides an excellent space to remove wet foul weather gear before entering the cabin. Finished in white molded surfaces, the compartment is easy to wipe clean. Forward and outboard, there is a counter with sink and a locker below. A mirror is mounted on the bulkhead above. The electric head is inboard and forward. A towel rack and coat hooks are mounted on the bulkhead.

NINOSKA’s pilothouse, with her large U-shaped settee and excellent visibility in all directions, is a central living space of the vessel. At the center of the pilothouse is a leather upholstered helm chair, adjacent to the well-organized dash with navigation electronics, engine gauges and video monitors. To port, there are custom cabinets for computer, printer and keyboard. A large u-shaped settee with drop leaf table is located at the aft port corner. Doors to port and starboard provide easy access to the wide side decks and excellent ventilation. The flybridge and upper deck is accessed via a stairway at the starboard, aft corner of the pilothouse.

A stairway to starboard leads from the pilothouse to the forward guest staterooms.  This stairway has varnished teak and inlaid holly treads illuminated by rope lights and handrails on each side.  At the bottom of the stairway in the forward passageway a linen locker is outboard.  Two overhead recessed lights, an opening port in the cabin side, and beige carpet complete this space.  Headroom measures 6’ 6” in this passageway and the forward staterooms.  Access to the staterooms is through doors at the forward end of the passageway.

The forward stateroom is entered through locking privacy door into a vestibule area.  This vestibule area doubles as a stall shower.  High thresholds, a removable carpet, drain, shower nozzle, bar and Moen mixer valve allow for showering.  The overhead is mirrored, walls are faux cherry Formica, and an overhead dome light illuminates this space.  Stepping over the inner threshold, one enters the forward stateroom proper.  The upper athwartship bunk measures 6’6” long by 24” wide and the lower, port side bunk measures 6’ 6” by 40”.  Both of these “L-shaped” bunks are fitted with 8” thick custom padded and sprung mattresses and reading lights.  A hatch in the forward bulkhead accessed the chain locker and anchor windlass motor.  A hatch in the cabin sole accesses the forward bilge area and bow thruster motor.  Emergency escape from this space is through a Bomar deck hatch in the cabin top.  ABI stainless steel ports are fitted in the cabin sides for additional light and ventilation.

Storage in this stateroom is found in numerous lockers and bins including three top opening bins under the lower bunk, two drawers under the lower bunk, open front bins outboard of the lower bunk, and three storage lockers with sliding doors further outboard and above the bunk.  A long cedar-lined hanging locker is forward to starboard.  Entertainment for crew/guest is provided by the Jensen stereo with two overhead flush mounted speakers and Panasonic TV with DVD player.  A Kohler porcelain sink with Moen mixer valve is fitted into a cabinet to starboard.  A locker with shelves and mirrored door is outboard of the sink and additional storage is below the sink.  Two towel bars, two overhead spot lights, and a tall mirror on the aft bulkhead complete this space.  The ensuite head compartment is through a locking privacy door in the aft port corner of this stateroom.  A cabinet with four shelves is outboard behind a mirrored door.  An overhead Broan extraction fan/light, two towel bars, and Headhunter Royal Flush head complete this space.

The middle guest stateroom is entered through a locking privacy door to port in the passageway.  An athwartships passageway leads to port in front of the ensuite head compartment.  Turning aft in this passageway, the stateroom features twin beds with aft headboards measuring 6’ 6” long by 31” wide.  Additional fold up or fixed bunks could easily be added above these twin bunks if desired.  Padded Ultraleather knee boards with rope accent lights are secured to each bunk.  A chest of drawers, night stand and tall mirror is situated between the bunks.  Reading lights and dimming overhead lights illuminate this space at night.  Storage is found in three drawers below the bunks, a bank of cabinets and bins outboard of the port bunk, and a large cedar-lined hanging locker forward.  An opening ABI stainless steel port is fitted into the cabin side outboard.  A Jensen stereo with two overhead speakers will take care of the audio needs.  A dressing mirror is mounted on the forward bulkhead.

The ensuite head has a locking privacy door, Formica tiled floor and mirrored overhead with three recessed spot lights.  The Headhunter Royal Flush head is forward to starboard.  A vanity with white Kohler porcelain sink and Moen faucet is aft of the head.  A mirrored medicine cabinet with two underhung task lights is above the sink.  A Broan extractor fan towel bar, and towel ring complete this space.  A stall shower with opaque glass hinged shower door is aft.  The shower stall is constructed from white gelcoated fiberglass for ease of maintenance and feature a seat on one side.  A Moen mixer valve, nozzle bar, and overhead dome light are fitted in the shower.  Exiting into the head into the passageway one finds an access hatch into the middle bilge/machinery space.  The water heaters, fresh water pumps and sonar equipment are located in this space.

A curved stairway to port and forward in the salon, leads to the master stateroom and forward engine room door.  A curved chrome metal handrail is to the right and a wood vertical handrail is to the left when descending this stairway.  Rope light, holy inlay and rope accent lights are fitted to each tread.  A teak and holy landing is at the bottom of this stairway.  The master stateroom is entered through a locking privacy door inboard.  The queen sized walk-around berth is centered with headboard on the forward bulkhead in this stateroom.   Accent rope lights are fitted under the Ultraleather knee board around the bed.  Beige carped covers the cabin sole.  Chest of drawers/nightstands and shaded reading lights are fitted to the forward bulkhead on each side of the bed.  The padded/sprung mattress measures nine inches thick.  Three large drawers are located beneath the bed.  Two spotlights with individual switches at each nightstand are mounted in the overhead above the bed.  Six overhead, dimming spotlights are switched at the cabin entrance.  To port a desk with swing out stool serves as an office space or cosmetics table thanks to the drawer desk and Profiles lighted mirror inside the cabinet above the desk.  Aft of this desk, a full height cedar-lined hanging locker provides ample hanging space.  A chest of twelve drawers along the aft bulkhead is topped with a long open shelf and mirror.  This would be a perfect location for a flat screen TV if desired.  Between this chest of drawers and the stateroom door, a dressing mirror is fitted to the aft bulkhead.  An emergency escape hatch into the pilothouse is located though a pull down overhead panel in the port forward corner of this stateroom.

The ensuite master head is entered through a locking privacy door to starboard.  The floor is covered with beige Formica tiles and the overhead is mirrored.  A headhunter automatic flush head is aft and inboard.  A vanity with beige Formica countertop is outboard and fitted with a white porcelain sink and Moen faucet.  Copious storage in this space is found in drawers and cabinets beneath the sink, outboad of the sink behind mirrored sliding doors, and in a bank of lockers aft and up high.  An ABI opening hull side port is outboard of the sink, up high.  Towel ring, Broan exhaust fan, overhead spot lights, coat hook, and a towel bar completed this space.  The stall shower with molded in seat is forward and entered through a rain-patterned glass hinged door.  A Moen mixer valve and shower bar/nozzle allow one to stand or sit when showering.  An overhead dome light illuminates the shower.

Engines and Engine Room

NINOSKA’s engine room is a delight for any mechanic, engineer or crew member needing to monitor or service the machinery.  Forward entrance is through a watertight Diamond Sea Glaze door with 7” by 7” viewing port located at the stairway landing adjacent the master stateroom door.  A hinged, cherry paneled door conceals the watertight door.  Aft entrance is from an angled hatch in the forward end of the cockpit on centerline and down a sloped aluminum ladder with handrails.   Headroom measures 6’-7” through most of this space.  Engines, bulkheads, overhead, shelves, and bilges are painted white to quickly spot fluid leaks and maximize light.  Flooring is diamond non-skid patterned aluminum plating.  Overhead and tank sides are thermally and acoustically insulated and topped with QuieTech perforated aluminum sheet metal.  24V and 110V florescent lighting in weatherproof fixtures nicely lights this space.

Propulsion and auxiliary machinery is well located around the engine room.  The full-sized washer and dryer are forward and to starboard in the engine room.  An air compressor is mounted to starboard of the engine room door.   A work bench with storage cabinets is along the forward bulkhead.  Inverter/chargers, watermaker, stabilizers, and air conditioning chillers are located forward and to port.  The fuel tanks are outboard of the main engines.  A work area with a large Craftsman tool box is aft of the port engine.  Bow thruster and anchor windlass hydraulics are aft of the starboard engine.  The 20KW Northern Lights genset is to starboard along the aft bulkhead and the 8KW Northern lights genset is along to port aft bulkhead.  The aft engine room entrance ladder is located between the gensets.

Deck & Hull

NINOSKA’s hull is white gelcoat with a blue boot stripe and blue bottom paint. A rubrail with stainless run strip runs aft from midships. Her deck is surrounded by a stainless handrail with wide side decks that allow easy navigation fore and aft. There are doors from the pilothouse to the side deck port and starboard. Forward is a large stainless anchor roller with Maxwell vertical capstan windlass. There are excellent mooring cleats forward, amidships and at the stern with large stainless chocks and hawse pipes.

The cockpit is surrounded by a tall bulwark with teak cap. A teak sole creates an elegant feel and provides excellent nonskid. There is a settee with teak table at the port, forward end of the cockpit. To starboard is a counter with Gaggenau grill and two large lockers below. Two stairs lead to the “day” head, a smartly designed compartment accessible from the exterior of the boat. The head features a drip well for foul weather gear - allowing one to remove wet clothing before entering the cabin. The engine compartment may also be accessed via a companionway at the center of the cockpit. At the aft end, there is a large bait well with light. There are two large storage/fish lockers beneath the cockpit sole. At the center, a watertight Freeman hatch provides access to the lazarette, with additional storage space and access to steering gear and other mechanics.

The flybridge is accessed via the pilothouse. Forward is the raised helm station with molded benches and a swiveling captain’s chair. Two steps lead down to the large deck space. There is a large locker to port, and a small fridge. Two auxiliary freezers are located on deck, providing a massive amount of storage for frozen provisions or hard won fish! The AB RIB dinghy is located on chocks at the aft end of the deck, hoisted by a Nick Jackson hydraulic davit.
