Classic bow, wineglass transom and graceful sheer combine to make her a beautiful yacht. Orion's high aspect, well-balanced sail plan and cut away forefoot make her easy to handle, fast and responsive, while her full keel provides the directional stability and rudder protection that are so crucial to extended cruising. DC Electrical System Upgrades

Owner Notes: ZUFRIEDEN'S Electrical/Electronic  Upgrade

"STRUCTURE: The house battery bank (two 100 amp/hr. deep-cycle batteries) and the engine battery bank (one spiral cell 75 amp/hr. battery) are separate, joined only when charging by a Blue seas SI-Series Automatic charging Relay. Both banks are led into a Blue sea e-Series battery switch, Dual Circuit Plus, at which they can be turned on/off or combined manually. The separate outputs from this switch goes separately to the engine start circuit and the Dual Battery Management Panel, Blue Sea PN 8690. At this battery management panel the house battery circuit is further divided into four separate circuits for power point, house, electronic, and bilge pump circuits, each with its own distribution center. " For more on the design concept see Nigel Calder's 3rd edition page 40 of ....
