Engines

A single Sabre Pef 5105 1984 80 HP engine with two black iron fuel tanks allows this Fisher 37 to motor at 6.5 knots. Both privately and professionally maintained, the low 5473 hours on this engine means years of reliable service. Being a motor sailer, Hermes comes equipped with a Main, Genoa and Mizzen sails. New rigging and halyards were installed 2013. When not winterized, handsome burgundy sail covers protect the well maintained sails. During winter, the current owner removes all the rigging and sails and has everything stored inside. This adds years to the equipment. The Lewmar self tailing winches have been serviced religiously every two years, and are covered every winter. All the records since the vessel was built are available for review. A NECO #872 electric anchor winch holds fast the 350 feet of chain and one of three anchors. A six person Plastimo life raft, two immersion suits and an EPRIB with internal GPS is part of the safety package.

Accommodations

Less than a handful of Fisher 37 motorsailers have a spacious aft cabin. Hermes offers a comfortable and roomy master stateroom due to this configuration. The forward bow guest cabin is also roomy and comfortable. Additionally, a double berth mid cabin is a great place to bunk the kids. Beautiful wood tones and attention to detail are reflected in the salon and galley. New high quality Naugahyde covers the large double settee in a creamy white. The center table folds out to seat everyone easily. Storage beneath the seating keeps things tucked away. Enjoy an evening of friends and music utilizing the Cybernet stereo. A new carpet muffles sound underfoot. The galley is a vision of quality craftsmanship and clever design. Lots of storage is nestled among the appliances. A Norcold AC/DC fridge, Plastimo two burner propane stove and stainless steel sink set in a large countertop completes the accommodations. Enjoy the Magma BBQ for cooking the days catch. Two heads, one with a new compost toilet, and both with showers is a very nice feature. A Webasto diesel heater keeps everything toasty.

Electronics

The pilot house provides protection from the elements while allowing for sightseeing opportunities. New Naugahyde covers the seating on the settee. The electronics needed to navigate safely are as follows: A Raytheon Pathfinder radar, Garmin 12” plotter, Raytheon GPS, Cetec Benmar autopilot, Garmin depth sounder and digital fathometer. B & G wind speed and direction indicator. A barometer, Seatral clock and Icom VHF are also included. A transducer and sonar has not been installed, but is available. Hydraulic steering and an auto pilot remote makes sailing a breeze.
