Venturous has the classic Valiant 40 layout with teak interior, and teak and holly sole.  There are several overhead hatches, port lights and overhead dorades for excellent ventilation.  The chain locker is forward of the large, 6'2" long, V-berth  with storage shelves and lockers outboard both port and starboard.  Next, the head with separate coveted shower stall is aft to port with storage closets opposite to starboard which are hanging lockers.

The salon features two straight settees, which double as sea berths.  The salon table folds up to the bulkhead when not in use which opens up the salon area.  There are shelves and cabinets outboard of the settees and storage behind the cushions.  The forward facing navigation station with large chart table is located aft of the salon area to starboard.  The U-shaped galley ideal for offshore cruising is opposite to port.

The second cabin featuring a large double berth is located to port as you come down the companionway stairs.
