Broker Comments

The Tartan 30 designed by Sparkman & Stevens is a well built fast sailor with a narrow beam and fin keel with lead ballast. There were 606 built from 1972 to 1979 and there are over 500 still being sailed all over the world.
If you are into racing, the T30 offers a good lick of speed and a comfortable ride in a chop. This T30 has had many upgrades over the years and has been kept in very nice condition. The interior is warm and cozy with oiled woods and a white fiberglass shell. She shows no leaking and the large side windows bring lots of light into the salon while the 6 opening ports and overhead hatch bring in the fresh breezes. Her cable to quadrant wheel steering gives you great control sailing up wind while the full skeg protects the rudder.
There are 3 head sails, 1- 135% Genoa, 1- 150% Genoa and 1 storm sail, a drifter for downwind sailing and a semi battened mainsail with sail cover. Lanikai offers start up cruisers 12 volt refrigeration, a Garmin color chart plotter, VHF, 4 berths that will sleep 6 owners and guests, a huge cockpit with deep lockers and newer standing rigging with Norseman fittings. The walk around side decks are wide for easy passage fore and aft and there is a cockpit cover to help keep you dry. The Atomic 4 gas engine runs great and is easy to work on located in the salon. The exterior wood needs to be refurbished and the boat shows well. If you are in the market for a small but strong ocean cruiser with possible racing in mind, look no further, your new Tartan is now available and open to offers here in Ft. Lauderdale. Please give us a call if this Tartan is of interest.
