Traditional encapsulated long keel with 3,500kg of ballast and  skeg hung rudder with Wagner hydraulic wheel steering.

Centre cockpit hull in white GRP (very solid heavy construction) with teak laid foredeck and side decks. Superstructure in pale blue GRP.

Hull has dark blue trim lines below the teak toerail and above the boot top - also around the cockpit coaming. There is also a gold coloured cavita line at high level on the topsides.

Main saloon accessible from the centre cockpit by companion way that leads to a seating/dining area, with central table, that can be converted to provide two single berths. To port is a chart table / navigation area with storage above and below. Forward of this is a forepeak cabin with double V berth (with removable infill) and hanging/storage lockers, accessible via a passage from an opening in the main forward bulkhead. To one side of the passage is a heads compartment Blakes Sea toilet and handbasin with shower, to the other side is a hanging locker.

A passageway to starboard, adjacent to the engine bay beneath the cockpit connects the aft cabin to the main saloon and provides an in-line galley with two burner cooker with oven and grill, refrigerator with freezer compartment and worktop with stainless steel sink. There is generous galley storage above and below the working area.

Excellent engine access is from the passageway between main cabin and aft cabin (side access), and from the main cabin when the companionway steps are removed (front end access).

The aft cabin, with a large double berth (new memory foam 2016), dressing table with mirror and hanging/ storage lockers has an ensuite heads compartment to starboard with Blakes sea toilet and handbasin with shower head.

I purchased Nicky Tam in November 2002 and she has been continually upgraded since then.

Some of the major upgrades are:

The original engine was replaced with an Yanmar 4JH engine (55.3 HP, 39.7kW) in 2012. It has been serviced annually by the Yanmar engineer.
The standing rigging was replaced in 2009. The running rigging has been replaced as necessary and all is in good condition. Standing rigging has been checked and adjusted, where necessary, regularly by the riggers.
New genoa roller reefing fitted in 2015, new lazy jacks and lazy bag for block reefing main in 2016.
New cruising spinaker purchased from Rolly Tasker in 2017/18.
New B&G plotter and AIS transceiver in 2018

Initially she was based in Genoa, Italy and in 2006, we sailed to Croatia, where we are now based. We cruised extensively for 3 to 4 months every year in the Adriatic from Montenegro to Venice. She is presently in Marina Betina, Croatia, where I have kept her since 2009. An annual berth is available for her.

I am selling Nicky Tam fully equipped – including bed linen, bathroom linen, kitchenware, crockery, tools and spare parts. She has been anti-fouled in the spring of 2019 and is ready to sail away.
