Accommodations
Boarding "Meardym" is performed by stepping onto the wide gunwales and then into the large well designed mid ship cockpit. The cockpit has a blue bimini top with zip out isinglass window and screen sections. Once in the cockpit, there is bench seating (for 6-10 people) on port and starboard sides (storage below seating) with a Captain's swivel chair facing the centrally located helm station, large stainless steel wheel with double bend pedestal guard and separate Pods electronics displays (Cetrek Autopilot, Garmin GPS/Chartplotter/Depth, Furuno Radar, Cetrek hand held remote autopilot) and main engine controls. On the forward port bulkhead are the Westerbeke engine gauges and a Cetrek Digital Depth display. In the center of the forward bulkhead is the main hatch leading down into the main salon area, a U-shaped dinette (folds down into a double berth) seating for 6 to port, 12 volt LED lighting, upgraded electrical panels in addition to a 2512 trace inverter and breakers on aft bulkhead, cabinets and 18" color flatscreen TV/stereo above dinette, galley located on starboard side opposite dinette. The galley has an Adler Barbour cold plate refrigeration unit/freezer (25 cu-ft), large stainless steel sink (hot/cold fresh water), 12 volt LED lighting, 110 volt outlets, microwave oven, Magic Chef propane stove top with oven/broiler, and a chart table with additional electronics (GPS, VHF and a day Norcold 12 volt compact refrigerator). Forward of galley on starboard side is a hanging cedar lined closet and standing four drawer clothes cabinet. The forward stateroom consists of a spacious V-berth with storage above and below along with a 22"flatscreen TV, surround sound, LED lighting, overhead port, On the port side opposite the hanging closet is the forward stateroom sink (hot/cold fresh water) and a separate enclosed bath tub/shower. This area was refit in 2008 with bath tub, V-berth was lowered 18" with new louvered doors for underneath access and new upholstery. From the main salon, on the starboard side is the passageway leading to the aft Master stateroom. In this passageway is access to the engine room on the port side and a full size Haier washer and Sanyo dryer on the starboard side with additional storage space. Further aft is the Master hanging cedar lined closet, drawers cabinet and the Master stateroom with spacious full beam King size berth complete with storage above (with TV) and storage below, 12 volt LED lighting, 110 volt outlets, course computers for autopilots, controls for Direct TV system, stereo and a Medical Sea Pack. The Master head, sink and shower is located on the port side which also provides another access door to the engine room. The engine room consists of Westerbeke 71hp diesel main engine, Westerbeke 4KW diesel generator, 900 gallon per day Villiage water maker, upgraded fuel tank, filters for the various systems, holding tank, solar regulator, batteries, lift pumps, 12 volt lighting, 110 volt outlets, power distribution boards and miscellaneous equipment.In-between the Master head and the leading passageway to the salon is steps leading to a hatch and topside access directly behind the Captain's chair. This boat has been rewired (12 volt and 120 volt systems), all 12 Volt LED lighting throughout, Inverter to supply power when generator is not running (with a spare wired in Inverter), new sails, Mack Pack Easy Jack, new canvas covers. 8 years ago the entire gelcoat below the water line was planed down and new gelcoat applied, new barrier coatings and bottom paint.
