The companionway stairs cleverly hinge to provide access to the impressive engine room and mechanical space. For regular underway checks, a small door allows one to peek into the engine room without removing the stairs. This space is impressive! No boat of this size or age has a cleaner, better organized and more easily accessible space for the engine and other systems such as batteries, hot water heater, fuel filters, water pumps, refrigeration compressor and fuel day tank. This space is second to none. If complete access is needed, the cockpit sole is removable for standing headroom in this space.
