Albatros is one of the nicest sailing yachts I`ve had the pleasure to sail, very sea kindly and safe.
The very spacious deep self-draining cockpit has a table that slots in place when required.
The addition of the stern thruster takes all the worry out of those dodgy tight mooring situations
She motors comfortably at 7 knots (about 0.5l litre/hour)
History of Abatros
For the first 20 years she lived in Germany being laid up under cover every winter.
My predecessor bought her then sailed back to Faversham. This was his only voyage. Unfortunately, his partner passed away and for sentimental reasons Albatross was laid up ashore for approx. 12 years. I purchased her in 2013. Various trips to Holland, Belgium France and the Thames estuary have endeared me to her. Regrettably, age forces me to now move on.
